Kontakt Plus is a ready-to-use mixture which improves adhesion of surfaces of low absorbability. Aggregate contained in the product creates a rough surface which facilitates the process of applying successive layers. After drying the layer is resistant to alkaline liquids. It creates a barrier that limits showing through of base surface colour and formation of stains on the surface of finish coat. The product is not flammable and non-toxic.
Kontakt Plus bonding primer
Description
Application: Used for difficult and even surfaces, such as ceilings and precast elements or elements made of timber-clad, reinforced-concrete or concrete components which are created on a construction site; terrazzo, oriented strand boards (OSB), old ceramic covering and other tight mineral substrates. It is used for interior and exterior under plaster, adhesive, finish coat and hydro-insulation.
Surface preparation: The surface should be seasoned and stable, dry, clean, without dust, grease, wax. Residues of paints and plaster and other layers unbound with the surface must be removed. Surfaces not intended for priming should be protected because the primer is hard to remove after it dries.
Application: Mix before use. The product should not be diluted, thickened and mixed with other materials. Apply the product evenly using a brush or a roller and avoid damp patches. During the work and once the job is completed, vent the room until the odour is gone. The primed surface should be protected, both during the works and when the plaster dries, from direct sun exposure, precipitation and wind. The subsequent layers can be applied when the bonding primer is completely dry (min. 24h).
Storage: In the original, tight container within a temperature range of 5°C to 30°C, in a dry location. Keep out of the reach of children. Protect against frost and direct sunlight.
